Philosophy
John 18:33-38
Philosophy - the study of knowledge, truth, and the nature of ultimate reality.
It seeks to answer three questions.
1.What is ultimately real?
2.How do we really know something is true?
3.What causes us to even think about these things?
Understanding philosophy is important.
1.Some people in your circles of influence believe nothing outside of what we can see and touch or duplicate in a lab is real.
2.Some believe we can't know and, therefore, shouldn't be concerned with absolute truth.
What does all this worldview information tell us?
1.Christianity best defends what is real.
2.Christianity has a comforting base of absolute truth.
3.Christianity best explains the tension between the material and spiritual parts of our lives.
